Gentry Claire at 5 Months!

GC as we arrived at work and school today!
Gentry Claire turned 5 months old today, November 27, 2012. She is so much fun and we love her. I can't remember what life was like before she came along. Here are some things she's been up to:

-Weighs about 15 pounds and is 25 1/4 inches long (based on my measurements at home.)
-Size 2 diaper during the day, size 3 at night
-Take 4 bottles a day that are 7 oz. each
-Has tried carrots, squash, green peas, sweet potato, and apples and LOVES them all.
-3-4 naps per day
-Go to bed between 7:30-8 p.m. and wakes up between 6-6:30 a.m. Sometimes we have to wake you up to get ready for school and it makes me feel awful!
-You're not sitting up yet, but you will be soon. You try and pull yourself up to sitting in your carseat and high chair.
-You recently discovered Scout and think she's a funny dog!
-You are a happy, happy girl and smile at everyone.
-You've laughed a few times, but only when we try really hard to make you.
-You started flipping from back to tummy and tummy to back a while ago and you love it now. You flip everywhere!
-You like your bathtime and smile when I put you in and splash water on you.
-You like going to school and the church nursery. Your teachers say you are happy and easy going.

We love you, little girl and are so happy you are part of our family! Thank you, God, for our sweet girl.

3 Months!

This little miss joined our family on June 27! It's hard to believe that three months have already passed. It's true what they say, time really does fly. I never believed it, but it seems that time has sped up since GC's arrival. We love her and I really can't imagine life without her now. She is a happy, happy girl and we are blessed to be her parents!

Here is one of her 3 month "formal" shots. I love it. I never really thought I would care for this style, but it's just precious! The dress she's wearing was made by my mom for her baby dedication at our church. It's precious, simple, and sweet - like her.

Some things about GC at 3 months:

- Found her hands and feet and loves to play with them
- Take 6 ounces of formula 5 times a day
- Loves to be rocked and cuddled
- Really loves her paci and has recently found her thumb, too!
- Smiles and coos when talk to her
- Loves to look at the TV screen (I think the bright colors fascinate her)
- Is content most of the time unless she's hungry or sleepy
- Sleeps from 7:45 p.m. until 5:30-6 a.m. every night (we are thankful!)
- Likes to be rocked and sung to sleep

I'm not sure of her weight or length right now. We go to the doctor on Friday for shots and a check-up, so we'll see then.

Here are some more pictures of her in the past few weeks, just for fun!

Baby News!

Well, it's not really "baby news," but here are my most recent maternity pictures. It's been so fun to document this all along the way. I was 35 weeks yesterday - 5 weeks to go - what??

We decided on a name several weeks ago. I think it was always going to be her name, we were just hesitant to officially announce it. It just made it feel so final.

We are super excited to welcome "Gentry Claire" in about 5 weeks - or less...or more?? Who knows!

Welcome Scout!

Let's play catch up, shall we? I haven't posted here since September - did anyone notice really? I mean, I keep this blog for my sake mainly, but is anyone still reading? I can't believe it's been over 6 months since my last post - ridiculous!
Flashing back to October - I came home from work one Thursday afternoon and found this little beauty waiting for me. Jeremy and I had been talking about getting a dog for a while, but he surprised me by driving to get her one day. She was all of 8 weeks old when she came to live with us and now we can't imagine life without her!
Scout is a "schnoodle" - a mix between a Schnauzer and a Poodle and she's the cutest dog in the world. In my humble opinion anyway. She loves us and we love her. She follows us around wherever we go, loves to play outside, eat, have her belly rubbed, and snuggle.
8 weeks old and so cute!
I'll leave with a few more recent pictures of Scout. She loved her Christmas PJ's, can't you tell? She's just the cutest puppy ever and we love her so much!
